Job Overview:
Fabricates
molds, gauges, fixtures to close tolerances.
Performs highly skilled tasks of substantial variety and complexity, which require
the ability to work from engineering drawings, rough sketches or verbal instruction. Operates various mold making machines
including EDM, grinders, mills, & lathes.
Performs layout, fitting and assembly of parts as necessary.
Performs duties under little supervision.
Assists in troubleshooting production mold related
problems.
Specific Requirements:
Repair and rebuild mold components.
Heat treat fabricated mold steels and grind to specification.
Order replacement mold heaters, core rods, ejector pins and other items as needed.
Order tool room supplies as required.
Assess mold damage and recommend repairs needed.
Assist production molding operation with mold related problems
Maintain cleanliness and safety of tool room.
Create and build new molds as needed.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

10 years of mold making experience.

Successful completion of a pre-employment
background check and post-offer, pre-employment drug screen.
